MOTÖRHEAD's LEMMY Violates UK Smoking Ban, Faces Fine
November 19, 2007World Entertainment News Network reports that MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister is facing a $100 (£50) fine after openly flouting a smoking ban at a concert in the UK.
Lemmy was playing a gig at Hallam Arena in Sheffield, England on November 6, 2007 when he lit a cigarette on stage, breaking the new law which came into force on July 1, banning smoking in all enclosed public places.
A British police spokesman says, "Other venues on the tour will be notified and appropriate action may be taken should any further incidents take place."
